Hey, Kids... it's that time again.

With Book 7, Deathly Hallows, about to land 784 pages us I wanted a place to talk about it, and I thought maybe some other people do too? I read books 4, 5, and 6 with fandom as they were published and each time I was a little sad I wasn't sitting in a room reading with praetorianguard or unanon or the rest of you. So I created a virtual porch for us all to hang out on.

HEY! I was wondering how you are! I'm in NYC right now. We are moving back to Cambridge/Boston in the fall now that I am done with grad school.

Congrats on Yale! That is huge! My friend went to Harvard, but he was wistful about Yale. They waitlisted him. :(

We won't land there until late October probably. We're trying to buy a condo/apartment.

I have a very useful Masters of Fine Arts in writing. O_o

I already friended you. It was a weird transition that happened when I started grad school and got married. Then I barely posted for over a year and now I am back. :D

And then I sort of dropped off the face of the lj world as well. I was so busy with school and teaching and writing that there was just no time for anything else at all. And when I did try to rejoin the lj world I got caught in the center of really unpleasant fandom wankstorm and I gave up again.

I'm not teaching right now. Though once we move to Boston I will be teaching again I hope, either at one of the universities or one of the writing schools.

I was teaching at a NYC public school one day a week last year and this year I was teaching at a local college.
